Development of Expert System Application to Detect Chicken Disease using the Forward Chaining Method

Chicken is the most widely kept and consumed poultry in Indonesia. Due to large population of poultry, a variety diseases have also emerged, from minor that can kill chickens infect humans. As result these diseases, there are implications for losses suffered by chicken farmers. Most farmers find it very difficult identify due their lack knowledge. On other hand, expecting treatment veterinarian or expert limited expensive. Therefore, system needed easily help detect pet chickens. This research aims build an applying forward chaining method. The implemented as web-based application. stages start with identifying problems, collecting data, creating knowledge base production rules, building applications, getting results. results showed method provides convenience detecting diseases. proven only selecting symptoms disease appear, then application will provide conclusions regarding what type being In addition, this information related ways handling control be done overcome disease.
